Celtic Roots Infused by Magic
Lynne Marie Rowland is the author of The Gnosis of the Salmon and A Compendium of Shaman Animals – stories steeped in Celtic myth, wild nature, romance and magic. Her work blends mythological threads drawn from Celtic, Welsh and Breton traditions, spirituality, and self-help. She is working on an upcoming book.
She has an eclectic taste in literature – ranging from fantasy to spirituality to self-help to sustainability and nature. “I have always found the deepest inspiration in fantasy - from my earliest readings of J.R.R. Tolkien to modern writers such as Charles de Lint.” Lynne studied writing with SARK, whose style of handwritten and self-illustrated books has influenced her latest work in progress, a fantasy self-help book.
Sometimes people get stuck in limiting beliefs due to prior hurtful experiences and even harm themselves. In 2000, a Philadelphia journalist, Mr. Clark DeLeon wrote about his friend, Eleanor, who had committed suicide as she could not resolve the complex feelings around a sexual assault in her childhood.
"This article inspired me to start writing. The impact of Mr. DeLeon's words catapulted me on both my writing and my healing journey. I hoped that I could help people through my words to seek to improve their lives. When I wrote The Gnosis of the Salmon, I named my protagonist Elinor, for all of the Eleanors in the world who have struggled with any form of trauma."
After doing many years of work on her own healing journey, Lynne feels drawn to share the wisdom she has received. Lynne hopes to inspire others to transform their lives using the magic available to all of us. Sharing these lessons through storytelling gives the seeds of transformation to all, allowing each of us to dream a better life into being.

Lynne writes fantasy self-help books where magic and myth intertwine with love stories, spirituality, and nature. When she’s not writing, she’s wandering in her real-life forest, sipping herbal tea, or trying to convince any of her cats to smile.
She’s passionate about sustainable living, fae lore, gardening, and creating cozy, enchanted spaces both on and off the page. Besides writing, Lynne worked as a marketer, a consultant, and ran an e-commerce company.
Lynne lives in the Pocono Mountains with her husband, too many cats, a garden full of magical herbs, and the wise inhabitants of the forest. Lynne still believes in magic.
